Italy - Birthplace Of Women's Voting Rights

As early as 1755, the Italian island province of Corsica gave women the right to vote.

Corsica slipped out of Italian hands and became a French province in 1770.

Corsica is the birthplace of Napoleon I, the famous emperor of France.
